A Week in the Life of KUFC #11

Within our age groups, this is what happened during the last seven days:

Soccer School:

There was a great turnout for our soccer school sessions at Kinloss on Saturday morning. It was brilliant to see everyone enjoy themselves and they all had a fantastic session.

U7:

The Cobras locked horns with Thorngumbald Barrons Yellows on Sunday. All the boys played exceptionally well in what were two very competitive games. Harvey and Freddie earned themselves MOTM trophies.

On the same day, our Piranhas took on a really good Cottingham Rangers Whites side. The team worked really hard all over the pitch and played some top passes along with making great runs with the ball. Chael and Hudson picked up the MOTM awards.

The Vipers were also in action as they faced Springhead. They made good runs, played fantastic passes and showed great defensive work. Alfie A and Alfie C took home the MOTM trophies.

U8:

Our Lionesses came up against two strong teams in Cottingham Rangers Kestrels and AFC Preston on Saturday morning. The team exhibited strong displays in both encounters and showed plenty of grit and determination. Well done to Layla and Sophia on taking home their POTM trophies.

Meanwhile, the Moonstones faced Hessle Rangers. The girls played really well and battled through the weather conditions. Chloe and Ella were named as the POTM.

On Sunday, our Hawks made the trip to Hessle Sporting Club Wasps. The boys battled hard all the way through both games and created some good chances. The MOTM trophies were received by Ollie H and Jack.

Coming up against Brandesburton AFC, the Harriers had a couple of very good games. Both teams were well organised and there were great battles all over the pitch. Edison, Ryan and Stanley all picked up MOTM awards.

U9:

The Pearls had a brilliant experience on Thursday night as they trained with Hull City captain Lewie Coyle and his academy coaches at St Mary’s. All the girls enjoyed themselves and had a very productive session. A couple of days later, they faced Southcoates United at Pelican Park. The girls worked hard as a team and played some great passes throughout the game. Izzy and Heidi received the POTM trophies.

On Sunday, our Tigers hosted East Riding Rangers. It was an outstanding performance from the boys as they exhibited fantastic teamwork. Kieran and Beau were the MOTM award recipients.

As well as this, the Leopards had two hard fought contests against Cottingham Rangers. All the players played brilliantly and the MOTM trophies were handed to Jake, Kurtley and Oliver.

U10:

Our Krystals welcomed AFC Preston Reds to Kinloss on Saturday. It was a close game from start to finish and was played in very good spirits by both teams. Amelia and Chloe were named as the POTM.

The following day, the Kings played out two excellent games of football against Hessle Rangers Juniors. Both teams showed wonderful endeavour and the games contained plenty of end to end action. Congrats to Jenson and Amin on being given the MOTM trophies.

U11:

The Marvels came up against a strong Hessle Sporting Club Jaguars team on Tuesday night. The boys put in an outstanding performance and it was a great watch for all spectators. Riley and Ted both secured MOTM trophies. They had another tough game on Sunday in which they faced Withernsea AFC. After a difficult first half, the boys put in an outstanding performance in the second half. Well done to Leon and Jacob on claiming the MOTM trophies.

Another side in action on Tuesday night were our Cyclones as they locked horns with Arcon Rangers Juniors. The entire team put in a massive shift and played some wonderful football. George, Noah and Louie all accrued individual accolades. They put in another great performance a few days later which saw them face AFC Tickton Vikings. On that occasion, Bella, Ollie and Nathon were given the awards.

In addition to this, the Tornados played out a close encounter against Great Driffield Panthers at Kinloss on Sunday. Riley and Camoren secured MOTM awards.

U12:

Our Ambers hosted East Riding Rangers Blacks at Kinloss on Wednesday night. After a tough first half, the girls put in a fantastic display in the second half of the game. Charlie, Daisy and Gracie all picked up POTM awards.

The Sharks found themselves up against a tough First Touch Wolves outfit on Sunday. Following a tricky first half, the team worked themselves back into the game and showed good spirit and determination. Will secured the MOTM trophy.

Ahead of the 2024/25 season, our Hornets are still looking to add a couple of players to their team. Previous experience in a team is preferable and, if interested, please email kingswoodhornets@hotmail.com

U13:

The Typhoons entertained West Hull Yorkies at Kingswood Academy on Sunday. They had a terrific display in which they played some wonderful football. Toby and Humza were named as the MOTM.

U14:

On Wednesday night, the Warriors took on Parks AFC. It was a hard fought game between two very good sides and it provided some entertaining football. Well done to Leon and Liam on being rewarded with the MOTM trophies.
